Actress Shwetha Basu Prasad shocked everyone in the film industry and also the movie buffs by getting arrested allegedly for indulging in prostitution. After getting detained the actress seems to have admitted during interrogation that she was misled to flesh trade since she was in bad need of money. The actress is now in a rehabilitation center for women as directed by the Court.

It was expected that since Shwetha has spoilt her name in the industry and among movie buffs no one will be ready to cast her I their films. However a popular director has broken this myth and announced that Shwetha will appear in a prominent role in his next film. National award winning director Hanslal Mehta has announced that Shwetha Basu Prasad will act in his next film. It will be a pivotal role. The director has also said that he liked her acting in the film Makdee` and hence he is casting her in his next film. Makdee` is Shwetha`s debut film in which she won the National award for The Best Child Artiste.
