A well made and profoundly appreciated in the media Madamakki` Kannada cinema is trailing behind because of theatre system in Karnataka. The one and half week collection has gone to the theatre rent. The producers of this Rs.4 crore cinema is trailing behind despite of good response. In the second week – September 2 onwards, the film is releasing in B and C centres. The demand of theatres to pay rent first is a big handicap for the producer Srinivas Dasanapura and his son Thanush, hero of the film Madamakki`. Debutant director Vinay Preetham Madamakki` thanked the media for good reviews and felt unhappy for long run not possible. The happy news for Thanush is that the remake rights have been sought for Telugu and Tamil while Hindi dubbing rights are also inquired. Meanwhile the cinema is covering the theatre rent till now he admits. The release of the film in the B and C center would happen soon.

Sitting MLC, senior actress national award winner Thara who plays mother in the film is of firm opinion that KFCC should intervene when the business of good films are not happening. For non language films theatre set up allocate 350 to 400 screens. For Kannada it is not ready fetch forty theatres is the situation. When they come up with license for building malls and theatres they promise to allocate Kannada films. That is not happening Thara Anuradha expressed her dissatisfaction. Kiran Hampapura thanking media for good support promised to work very hard in his future.
