Hat trick director Prem's debut as an actor 'Preethi Eke Bhoomi Melidhe' and Ashwini productions Ramprasad and Krishnaprasad's second film (first film was top grosser 'Jogi') has been a top grosser in the first week in 75 centers of Karnataka. In Bangalore Kolar and Tumkur area the film has earned Rs.1 crore 25 lakhs net for the Ashwini banner is a record collection.

Including the theatre rent of Rs.1 crore the over all collection of first week is Rs.2.5 crores. In that net share for Ashwini banner is Rs.1crore and 80 lakhs. The sale of 'PEBM for satellite channel yielded Rs.1 crore and eight lakhs adds up to the first week over all net share of Rs.2 crores 98 lakhs from 'Preethi Eke Bhoomi Melidhe' (PEBM). This is against Rs.8 crore investments and time taken is one and half years. For this the audio sale proceeds is not added because this is in house audio sale. As the sale figures are not arrived at we have not been able to add it to the collection disclosed Ramprasad. The coming weeks the percentage of share might be low compared to first week but it will not bite the producers at any cost says confident looking Ramprasad.

The huge response in the box office has kept actor cum director Prem and producer Ramprasad extremely happy. We have sold the film in Bellary and Hospet for a record price of Rs.28 lakhs where as the film 'Jogi' in the same area yielded Rs.18 lakhs for the Ashwini banner says Ramprasad.

On the reported wrong statements in the industry and in a section of tabloids Prem says that is because we have not sold the film such wrong news has spread. When we have invested Rs.8 crores on this project we expect the buyers to quote good price. When that has not happened we released the film on our own in a systematic way. This is the reason perhaps resulted in wrong signals laments Prem.
