Yet another popular Tamil-Telugu actress is all set to make an impact in Sandalwood.

Swathi the petite girl who has done good films like ‘Aadavari Maatalaku Ardhale Verule’ in Telugu and ‘Subramaniapuram’ in Tamil is likely to make her debut in Kannada opposite Shivrajkumar. The director of the film tentatively titled as ‘Mylari’, Chandru has confirmed that Swathi has been approached and the dates are being discussed to be finalized.

Swathi is now doing a Tamil film with Vikram so she is careful not to mess up with the big film in Tamil. So she has been given time to plan and take a decision by director Chandru.

But the title ‘Mylari’ is now registered in KFCC by Ashwini Ram Prasad. The film’s co-producer Srikanth hopes to get the title for him as he shares a cordial relationship with Ashwini.

The new film will be produced by Kananapura Sreenivas who had earlier made hit films like ‘Yuvaraja’ and ‘Santha’ with Shivarajkumar. Guru Kiran will be the music director.

Swathi was a popular television anchor in Telugu and she entered the film industry with an important role ‘Aadavari Maatalaku Ardhale Verule’, which had Venkatesh and Trisha in the lead. Later she did the off beat film in Tamil ‘Subramaniapuram’ which made her a household name in Tamil Nadu.
