‘Pancharangi’ height of normalcy!

Director of high caliber Yogaraj Bhat in his debut production ‘Pancharangi’ has focused on the height of normalcy and ridiculing the different areas in a funny and touching style. Speaking to media on last Thursday evening after completing 25 days of schedule in the coastal Karnataka, Bhat was seen with his 30 member team at The Bell Hotel.

It was when lyricist Jayanth Kaikini explained him that in the theatres 90 percent of the community will be watching the movie and a director should touch the hearts. Bhat thought further seriously. Kaikini gave the examples of some of the movies that have become very close to the hearts of the audience and why they were a hit.

Bhat has ridiculed the normal issues in social life via characters making it very funny. He has shot for the film in the 600 years old house in Mangalore. The next schedule will complete the songs. Bhat appreciated cameraman Thyagu who was assistant to Rathnavelu, for his caliber. Thyagu, now working for ‘Robot’, has lent his expertise in his first Kannada cinema.

Diganth, continuously in all the films of Yogaraj Bhat from ‘Mungaru Male’ is absolutely dilkush for the way in which the film is narrated by the highly talented director. Veteran actor Sunderraj said that the director has filled his hunger of good role and showed how he vouches for quality. Nidhi Subbaiah, Ramya Barna, Padmaja Rao, Sudha Belawadi, Mithra, Satish and Ravi, art director of the film in short explained the lovely mood and lively atmosphere of work of ‘Pancharangi.
