Dr Vishnuvardhana Remembered

Amammoth procession, floral tributes, fans participation in peace, social service to the needy marked the first year death anniversary of Dr Vishnuvardhana on Thursday at various places in Bangalore.

The Karnataka chief minister BS Yediyurappa, Home Minister Ashok, Minister Shoba Karandlaje, Information director Muddhu Mohan visited the place where Dr Vishnuvardhana was cremated and paid rich floral tributes.

The Karnataka chief minister speaking on the occasion said the memorial work of Dr Vishnuvardhana will begin from January 15 and Rs.5 crores out of Rs.10 crore has already been released. Home Minister R Ashok said he is also a fan of Dr Vishnuvardhana. Dr Vishnuvardhana is the property of this state. He has left behind many unforgetable films. He was joining with the pleasures and pains of the people said Ashok.

The procession from National College ground with ‘Simha Jyothi Yathre’ took off at 8.30 am as soon as Dr Bharathi Vishnuvardhana and Anirudh arrived.

Dr Vishnuvardhana was seen in calendars, wrist watches, huge cut outs etc on Wednesday. As the thousands of fans thronged the place next to Abhiman studio the ‘Simha Jyothi Yathre’ was received.

Rockline Venkatesh, Shivaramanna, Ramesh Bhat, Shobaraj, Vishukumar and others offered floral tributes to Dr Vishnuvardhana.
