What the icon of Kannada cinema Dadasaheb Phalke award winner Dr.Rajakumar had done in films like 'Nyayave Devaru' and 'Chalisuva Modagalu' his son Puneet Rajakumar is repeating it in 'Mayoora'. Puneeth Rajakumar for the first time in his 10 films plays the role of a lawyer. He vehemently argues in support of good causes and finally feels this is not just enough for him. He takes up the cause of humanity instead of advocating any cases in the court of law. 'Naaniruvudhe Nimagaagi' – I am for you – is the essence of the present days 'Mayoora' that went on the floors at ISKCON temple.

The tight security at ISKCON temple kept the fans of Puneeth Rajakumar at a distance on the muhurat day. Puneet waved at his fans and then faced the first shot.

He feels that his role is very interesting and challenging. This is a new attempt and I am here as a compensation clearance lawyer he disclosed addressing the crowded media.

Talkative and very confident director Shoban said the extension of expectation is what he is looking for in this film. “I want the audience to feel in the direction what the protagonist feels. That is also the way of educating the fans”, he says answering a question. The reason behind keeping 'Mayoora' the historical film title of Dr.Rajkumar for his film is because he is moved by the elements of that film. In the similar way the protagonist Puneet Rajakumar works out he pointed.

Smt.Parvathamma Rajakumar and Raghavendra Rajakumar were present at the muhurat of the film. R.P Patnayak is scoring the music for this film. R.S.Productions is producing 'Mayoora'.
