A unique grand set using 40000 empty beer bottles erected by art director Mohan B Kere for ‘Jeeva’ Kannada film is the cynosure of all eyes. The entire song of three minutes and forty seconds duration shooting expenses touched Rs.25 lakhs for producers Paramesh and Prem of ‘Jeeva’ Kannada film that is directed by choreographer turned director Prabhu Srinivas. This new attempt is likely to enter the “Limca Book” of Records!

The beer bottles from Tamil Nadu and other part of Karnataka were acquired for this set by art director Mohan B Kere. He has used thin strong wires to connect the bottles to place them on the walls. He has used clamps to fit the bottles to make a bar counter and created a dais using beer bottles. Before placing the beer bottles it was cleaned with chemicals and that itself cost nearly one lakh of rupees for the producers.

The 40000 beer bottles used for an erection of set is for the first time in Indian cinema. In four years and 30 films art director Mohan B Kere has worked for nearly 30 films and he agrees that creativity demands more money. Producers Paramesh and Prem who made ‘O Gulabiye and Pallakki’ are extremely happy with the set evolved by art director Kere.

It is on this set the Mumbai dancer Shradha Sharma and actor Prajwal Devaraj dance for an item song with co dancers. Cameraman Sabha Kumar used special lighting and given a new looks via lighting to the beer bottles.

‘Jeeva’ starring Prajwal Devaraj and Ruthwa in the lead roles left to Pondicherry to shoot one song for the film. The talkie portions of ‘Jeeva’ have been completed in 50 days duration.
