Uppigintha Ruchi Bere Illa….the song of Upendra was revived once again as the arrangement for the launch of ‘Symbol’ cinema was filled with grandeur and glitz at the Karnataka State Lawn Tennis Association on Thursday evening.

This type of program is possible only from Upendra. The much expected Nayantara was absent at the launch show.

Upendra surprised every one with his arrival to the show. Nine imported cars followed one by one and took its position near the stage. 22 motorbikes followed later and from one of the luxury car Upendra got down with a flag that had the symbol of his film. Rockline Venkatesh joined him on the stage at around 8.30 pm. Uppi and Rockline thanked the scion of Mysore Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wodeyar, Chandrasekhara Swamiji, Dr Jayamala, KCN, Ashok Kheney, Alexander, Krishnappa and scores of others from the industry and the family of Upendra for attending this glittering function.

Upendra thrilled his fans and said all the glitz and glamour is for them. I Like It….he said and the crowd cheered. As Upendra held the symbol flag nearly 300 dancers surrounded him and Rockline. Both of them were lifted and kept on their shoulders.

The team from Mangalore danced to the three songs of Upendra films. Before that the Mangalavadya from Deva produced some liveliness. The clippings of earlier Upendra directed films – Tharle Nan maga, Sshhhh…A and Upendra were shown on the screen to thunderous applause. The laser show was a special treat. Prasad Biddappa was thanked for the fashion show on the occasion.

The well organized function was shown live on U2 television. 18 cameras captured the glorious event. Dayanand the famous mimicry artist anchored the show.
