The charming Subha Punja, hopes to get the evasive but deserving break in her film career in 2010. Her much expected ‘Preethi Hungama’ and ‘Golmaal’ are waiting to hit the screens in March and if things go as she desires the she will be a darling of Kannada in 2010.

Subha entered the film industry six years ago and caught the attention of the audience with her performances in films like ‘Chanda’, ‘Moggina Manassu’ and ‘Takath’. Though her performances in all these films were well appreciated, their not so impressive show at the box office severely affected the career graph of this beautiful talent.

In fact for ‘Moggina Manasu, Subha even got the prestigious Filmfare award for Best Supporting Actress. But even the following films ‘Slum Bala’, ‘Jackpot’ and ‘Anjadiru’ did not do that well.

After a mean time in Kannada, Subha tried her luck in Tamil. But even Tamil did not help her much. So she returned to Kannada films. She now says her preference in Kannada films and she is keen to make it in her home land. “I want to add value to my roles. If I get good scripts I am ready to compromise with the remuneration but no compromise with the roles,” she adds.

Subha’s immediate film next would be ‘Kanteerava’, which is a remake of the Telugu hit, ‘Simhadri’. In ‘Kanteerava’ she pairs opposite ‘Duniya’ Vijay. Vijay and Subha pair in one of the hottest on screen pairs in Sandalwood. And that name will definitely boos the chances of the film directed by the debutante Tushar Ranganath.
