”This is my first straight subject film after 10 years” admitted dashing director on Kannada screen, N Om Prakash Rao addressing the media on Friday evening at The Bell Hotel on his completion of 26th film ‘Huli’ starring Kishore and Jennifer Kotwal in lead roles.

Om Prakash Rao has completed ‘Huli’ in 56 days before the ‘AK 56’ (starring Siddarth and Shirin) film that is waiting for the railway department permission to shoot the climax.

On two prominent issues in social life – the need of unity and the need of caring, Om Prakash Rao has touched upon in this film. For cool temperament and providing his needs, director Rao complimented producers Shivaprakash and Sudheendra.

He has told 35 days schedule but took 56 days time to shoot in Mysore, Tumkur and Bangalore. Shivaprakash is not worried for extra days as the budget has not exceeded the limit. He thanked the technicians for giving good work. Sudheendra thanked the entire team for admirable support. Director Rao worked despite of ill health, Sudheendra disclosed.

Jennifer Kotwal coming to the media meet, surpassing the air traffic (usually the Bangalore road traffic is given as the reason for late arrival) said this is the best of her career. ‘Huli Nodi Maja Maadi’ is her slogan for the film. “I have seen the temper of Rao. Sometimes chairs and boards were flying”, Jennifer recalled.
