“Movies that speak of romance creating a positive impact on the minds of youngsters and help them shape their careers are hardly made in Kollywood. But ‘Kadhalagi’ will fill the void”, says the film’s producer - director K R Vishwa.

The movie starring newcomers Krishnakumar, Shrishti Dange, Ajay, Amrita Chabriya, Roshan, Santosh, Kashish Kapoor and Natchatara is fast nearing completion. Prakash Raj plays a cameo in this film.

Maestro A R Rahman’s sister A R Rehana has composed the music for the lyrics of Vairamuthu and Thaman is taking care of the background score. ‘Wide Angle’ Ravi Shankar is handling the camera. Vishwa says, “The society is not the same as it was a decade ago. Things have changed a lot. People's view on romance, friendship and the need to shape their career has changed. ‘Kadhalagi’ is the story of a group of youngsters who struggles for friends and friends who struggle for lovers.”

“The highlight of the movie is that the hero and the baddie never come across each other throughout the film”, he says and adds: “Krishnakumar plays a magician and he has been given intense training by an acclaimed magic man.”
