The net revenue from one day collection from ‘Super’ Kannada cinema starring Upendra, Nayantara, Tulip Joshi, Sadhu Kokila and others is Rs.1 crore. The gross collection is Rs.1.65 crores for one day means it is a fabulous collection.

Upendra magic has worked again. With 450 shows in 130 theatres a day ‘Super’ is showing and Upendra is singing his earlier film song ‘Uppigintha Ruchi Bere Illa’ (that one he coined with his name means there is no taste other than salt).

Upendra has returned to direction after 10 years and he has not disappointed his fans. The media reports are too good for his film. Upendra on the release day went early in the morning to Yellamma Temple in Chamrajpet with Rockline Venkatesh the producer of the film. It was a special one because Upendra lived in that small place 15 years ago in the cluster of houses that is now a temple.

The theatres in Bangalore and other parts of Karnataka had six shows per day, that is more than normal.

Upendra reacting to this solid come back stated that it is not important the film earned Rs.1 crore net on a single day. The affection of the people is tact and that is what puts him in comfort zone. He is equally happy for the mass and class audience are watching ‘Super’.
