Actress Tamannaah was seen in Tamil this year in Udhayanidhi Stalin starrer Kanne Kalaimaane directed by Seenu Ramasamy, and also starred in Devi 2 co-starring Prabhudeva and directed by AL Vijay. She had played the lead role in the Bollywood movie Khamoshi as well.

Currently the actress is shooting for her next, which happens to be Vishal's 27th movie, directed by Sundar. C. This is Vishal's third movie with Sundar C after Madha Gaja Raja and Aambala and second with Tamannaah after Suraj directorial Kaththi Sanda.

Recently the team had been shooting a song sequence in Kishangarh, Rajasthan and following this reportedly the team shot the pre-climax action episode as well. In a viral video from the sets of the movie, Tamannaah is seen in an army attire indicating that she might play an army officer in this movie. Though it is not clear whether this look is for the movie or just for a song, it has been said that Tamannaah will feature in many action sequences in this movie.
