Fans across the length and breadth of Karnataka are enraged, and have staged a demonstration condemning the nonchalance of authorities in renovating a primary school. It is not any other school; it is Kavipuram Kannada Thuvakkari school, where Rajinikanth studied, as Shivaji Rao. Now the school is in a dilapidated condition, and in urgent need of renovation to make the ambience safe for the 500 odd students it houses.

It is reported that a sum of 86 lakh rupees was sanctioned towards the renovation of the building, but no action has begun yet, from the management's side. President of Karnataka State Rajini Rasikar Mandram has given the school authorities an ultimatum, on behalf of all the fans that if renovation work does not kick off immediately, then they will go forward and protest across the state, starting January 21st.
