Superstar Rajnikanth’s upcoming film that was earlier scheduled for release as a Tamil New Year treat during April second week, maybe postponed again. To compensate the disappointment here is a good news for the billions of his fans spread across the globe.

Rajnikanth has been selected as one among the 100 most influential Asians. The list published by private firms called Asian Awards Limited has named Rajni at number 66 in the list.

Our ‘Thalaivar’ has surpassed Bollywood actors Aamir Khan (68), Aishwarya Rai (84), Salman Khan(98), Oscar winning composer A.R.Rahman (95) and Cricker players Sachin Tendulkar (76) and Mahendra Singh Dhoni (99) when it comes to popularity amongs Asians.

Chinese President Xi Jingping tops the list at number one. Indian politicians Sonia Gandhi, Narednra Modi and Rahul Gandhi have been named among the top five.
