Trust Kamal Haasan to question ideas and rules are thrust upon people’s throat. He is an iconoclast when it comes to that.

Just when the industry is buckling under the onslaught of some politicians laying the rule that films should only have Tamil titles, Kamal wants take on that authoritarian idea. Further, he also wants to send out a message to the xenophobic Kannada film industry.

The news is (still to be confirmed by the star himself) that Kamal has okayed a project with veteran Singeetham Srinivasa Rao.

The film to be titled Mumbai Express will be a bilingual one --- Tamil and Kannada and will be produced by Kamal himself.

Tabu is said to be heroine of the film (after Chachi 420 she will be pairing with Kamal again)

The movie supposedly a hilarious entertainer will however have competition from Goutam Menon’s proposed film with Kamal.

But one thing is sure: Kamal is ready for some controversy.

After the experiences of Sandiyar (Virumandi) and Vasoolraja MBBS, controversies are good publicity.
