As soon as actor Dhanush came out with an announcement that he is getting married to actor Rajnikanth's daughter Aishwarya, a section of press reported Rajnikanth's displeasure in the marriage.

In a bid to put an end to such reports, Rajnikanth, who emerged out after watching a special show of director Selvaraghavan's 7G Rainbow Colony on Friday, said, 'indeed, the announcement by Dhanush was made only after seeking an approval from me'.

The actor, whose shooting for Chandramukhi, was cancelled due to incessant rain, left immediately after exchanging a few words with reporters.

Now, hopefully the speculations will stop.
