Remember actress Malavika?
The heroine who shot to fame dancing with Murali for the song Karupputhan Ennaku Pidicha Colouru in the movie Vettrikodi Kattu.
After playing the heroine in subsequent films, she lost her prominence in Tamil filmdom and decided to try her luck in Telugu filmdom.
She could manage only item numbers in Tamil till recently.
However,lady luck seems to have favored the actress now.
She appeared in a brief role (and in briefer costumes) in Kamal HaasanÂs Vasoolraja MBBS and has been pencilled to pair with actor Vivek in a movie to be directed by Mouli.
However according to Malavika, the biggest joy for her was when director P Vasu informed her that she would appear in Chandramukhi along with Rajnikanth.
Asked whether it was for an item number, Malavika shot back "no, itÂs a good role and I would say it would be a plump role for me".
Hope, Malavika strikes it rich at least in her second stint in Kollywood.
