Trisha has been in the news past few days after her engagement to industrilaist Varun Manian and after her praiseworthy performance in 'Yennai Arindhaal'. The leading actress is back to take the spotlight again as she has signed on to her next project opposite Jai.

IndiaGlitz has come to know from close sources that Trisha will be essaying the role of a village belle in the backdrops of Kumbakonam and her presence will be felt throughout the film.

The untitled flick will be directed by Thiru of 'Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai' and 'Samar' fame. Thaman will be scoring the music with Richard M. Nathan handling cinematography and Ruben taking care of the editing. Art direction will be handled by Jacky and costume designing by Niranjini.

The Trisha-Jai starrer will commence shoot in the month of March in locales around Chennai and Kumbakonam.
