Noted lyricist Vairamuthu, who is a regular feature in Rajnikanth's movies, is missing out in action from Chandramukhi.

The rationalist lyricist has not penned any song for the movie, set to tunes by Vidyasagar.

When asked about this, the lyricist said, "I was offered the chance to write songs in the movie. However, since all the numbers were more or less devotional (songs on God), I thought I would not do justice to the work. Hence I backed out. I have no regrets".
