Karthik whose market is on the down swing has floated an outfit Sarnalayam. This outfit is the front for the Mukkolathar caste a sect of the Thevars.

Karthik who hails from the caste has asked his fan clubs in South of Tamilnadu to unite under this banner and get ready to face the next election .

The actor was pleased to see his caste take to the appeal in a big way and turn out in large numbers. As a first step he has asked his caste men to promote his son who is soon to enter politics and later on in films.

Karthik asked AIADMK for support but none has been forthcoming. Now he has pledged his caste support to Vijaykanth’s forthcoming political party.
