Paruthi Veeran to take off on 21 July

Director Ameer's Paruthi Veeran starring Karthik, actor Shiva Kumar's younger son, will go to floors on 21 July.

Ameer's last movie Ram starring Jeeva managed a decent run at the box office.

A grand invitation has been made ready for the muhurat running up to 12 pages with photographs of Karthik. Priyamani, who is acting opposite Dhanush in Athu Oru Kanaa Kaalam is playing the heroine in the movie. Ganja Karuppu plays the comedian.

While the music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja, Ramji handles cinematography.

Ameer says, 'it is inspired by a real life story. It is all about the heroics of a youth lived few centuries ago in a remote village in Madurai'.
