The chocolate box hero of Kollywood Madhavan is set to host a game show titled Deal Ya No Deal in Sony TV. His pan-Indian appeal is what made the producers of the show go for him.

It is an interactive show that is primarily meant to throw a stiff challenge to Amitabh's KBC II on Star TV.

This thrice a week show features Madhavan, who made it in films only after acting in several serials in the small screen.

This shift to television by him has resulted in Kollywood raising its eyebrows.

However when contacted, Madhavan brushes aside reports that he would be quitting films. An exuberant Maddy, says, ‘what's wrong in hosting a game show on television. It is one of the prestigious things on earth today, he said apparently referring to Amitabh Bachchan’.

Will he bid bye to Kollywood? 'No' is his firm reply. 'This industry has given me name and fame and there is no reason why I should quit this forever', he says.

Madhavan will be in town to shoot for a film named Arya, a bi-lingual to be made in Tamil and Telugu simultaneously to be directed by Balasekaran.
