Vijayakanth is ready to face the battle. The actor and founder - president of Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) Vijayakanth released the first list of his party's candidates for the ensuing Assembly polls on Friday.

Interestingly the list had 140 names with Vijayakanth himself facing the polls from Vridhachalam in Villupuram District.

Reiterating his decision to fight the elections alone, Vijayakanth said that they would win in all the 234 constituencies.

Vijayakanth has chosen the Vridhachalam constituency for he said he had a special liking for the place.
