The incoming president of Tamil Film Producers Council Rama Narayanan has said all hurdles for the release of eight Tamil films including Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi and By 2 have been removed. These movies would be releasing soon, he said.

The veteran producer-director said following Chief Minister M Karunanidhi taking up the issue with the Centre, steps were taken to clear the problems that had delayed the release of the movies.

'We have received communication from the Central Censor Board in this regard,' he said.

It may be recalled that director Shankar and Vadivelu had called on Karunanidhi last week and sought his intervention in ensuring early release of Imsai Arasan. Since they had used horses in the film the Censor Board wanted them to obtain a No-Objection Certificate from the Animal Welfare Board. But it was not forthcoming. And the matter became a kind of ego problem.

As the issue was lying in a limbo, the makers of Imsai Arasan met the Chief Minister. One thing led to another, now the movie along with others has got the go head.

Now it is for the box office to decide their fate.
