Kamal Haasan's Dasavatharam features him in ten different roles. It has become big news and created a major hype.

For Periyar, a movie on rationalist leader, Sathyaraj has donned ten different costumes.

Says Sathyaraj, 'I come in 10 different make-ups in the movie. It starts from the younger days of Periyar till his death'.

Sathyaraj plays the title role with Jyothirmayi acting opposite him. Gnana Rajasekaran is directing the movie with cinematography by Thangar Bachchan and editing by B Lenin.

Says Sathyaraj, 'It was dream since my entry to films to act as Periyar. Thanks to Gnana Rajasekaran, my dream is now realized'.

The movie's shooting began a few days ago and a few portions of the movie were shot in the first schedule at Karaikudi.

It may be recalled that the State government has sanctioned a sum of Rs 95 lakh for the movie.
