Cinematographer –director Thangar Bachchan is brimming with joy. He is busy with the post production works of Pallikoodam which will be compete in the international film section for honors at the acclaimed Cannes film Festival.

Speaking about the film to media persons on Monday, Thangar says, “It is a movie for the common man. We shot in Pandipuram, Andimadam, Chennai and abroad.”

“It is unfortunate that no director has tried his hands at doing a movie on the schools, which has created so many doctors, advocates, politicians and worthy citizens for this nation. Pallikoodam will fill the void.”

“Today technology has overtaken cinema and the screenplay and story has taken a back stage. Pallikoodam has lively screenplay and is sure to rock the man on the streets.”

The movie is based on the novel Kalavupona Pagudhigal by Thangar Bachchan himself.

“The entire star cast and the technicians have contributed their best for the movie. It is a movie which would take everyone to the classrooms,” he adds.
