Kireedom, inspired by Malayalam hit titled the same (starring Mohanlal) is directed by Vijay and produced by Suresh Balaji. The movie starring Ajith and Raj Kiran in lead roles has Trisha playing Ajith's ladylove.

The audio of much-awaited Kireedom will hit the markets on 1 June. The movie has musical score by G V Prakash.

The songs were shot in various locations in Rajahmundry and Visakhapatnam, Vandi Periyar and Alleppey.

The Kireedom album has a total of five songs. Popular Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam and Sujatha's daughter Swetha have sung a duet, while yesteryear playback singer Jayachandran has sung a melody.

Prakash chose to do a major portion of the background score in Mumbai.

After there-recording was over, G V Prakash's instant reaction to the movie was that it would go on to become a blockbuster and thrash all box-office records.

The film is ready and the makers are planning a June release. Thiru is the cinematographer. Buzz is that Na Muthukumar has penned the dialogues for Kireedom.
