Kanika is back with a bang. She faded away after making a slew of failures. Thanks to Varalaru, Kanika was back in the hunt. The movie's success has brought her luck. She has been assigned to act opposite Mammootty for a mega movie titled Pazhassi Raja.

Also Kanika is playing the heroine in a Kannada flick which is a remake of Tamil blockbuster Anandha Poongatre. She plays the heroine to Ravichandran in the movie.

Also she has accepted a couple of offers in Tamil.

Kanika has come in praise for her good work in rendering the dubbing voice for Shriya in Rajnikanth's Sivaji.
