Come Deepavali, Suriya's ‘Vel’ is ready to hit the screens. His fans were made to wait for almost a year as his last release was 'Sillunu Oru Kadhal'.

An enthusiastic Suriya, says, “ 'Vel' is a typical mass entertainer. There is a dose of action and sentiment. We shot the movie is four months. The screenplay is fast and engrossing”.

'Vel' stars Asin opposite Suriya and the cast includes Nasser and Vadivelu. Yuvanshankar Raja has scored the music for the movie.

Suriya says, "I am choosy about my scripts and want to wait for the right one. I have been lucky to work with good director and my characters were good."

After 'Vel', Suriya will complete ‘Varanam Aayiram’ followed by movies with Murugadoss and Ramgopal Verma.
