Director Perarasu who shot to fame with back-to-back successful films with Vijay is currently churning out a film with Arjun in the lead. The film has been titled 'Thiruvannamalai' (the director always christens his films with the names of places) and introduces debutante Sania as heroine.

Perarasu has been quite successful in tickling the sentimental-bone of the masses with emotionally charged up sequences that involve wronged and helpless women.

Probably in a bid to avoid being stereotyped, the director says, 'there are no sentimental scenes in the movie. It is an out and out commercial venture, but quite different'.

The story has Arjun playing a local television cable operator who has a troubled relationship with politicians. The narration delves deep in to the intricate animosity with corrupt politicians and follows the hero's struggling path to victory.

Popular Kannada actor Saikumar plays the villain and Karunaas and Vaiyapuri are expected to keep the audiences in good cheer.

Srikanth Deva is composing music and shooting kick starts in Kumbakonam.
