'Frame' workshop

The month long workshop 'Frame' for television and cinema acting budding talents by Abhinaya Tharanga was flagged off on Sunday evening at Badami House in Bangalore by Golden star Ganesh in the presence of KFCC President Dr.Jayamala, Information Director Vishukumar, producer B.K.Srinivas, writer cum director Prakash Belawadi, founder of Abhinaya Tharanga A.S.Murthy and convener of the workshop Gauri Dathu on stage.

Addressing the aspirants in acting Dr.Jayamala said there is a grave need for script and screenplay writers in Kannada filmdom. She urged the information director Vishukumar to take up the issue and KFCC is ready to come forward for novel steps to improve the standards of Kannada cinema informed Dr.Jayamala.

The 'Guru' (mentor) and 'Guri' (Aim) are important in life to get along in life. You have the Guru and Guri should be very strong said Golden Star Ganesh addressing the new students of Abhinaya Tharanga workshop in acting. Actor Vijay recalled how he and Ganesh faced the hard days in life to the students. Do not give up confidence he said on this occasion.

Actor Ajay Rao addressing the students said there is need for education culture and humbleness in this profession. Actress Shuba Poonja disclosed her intention of reaching to the standards of what Dr.Jayamala had reached in her profession.

The workshop director Prakash Belawadi who is heading the 'Frame' for the third year explained in detail on the need of teaching acting. How to face the camera without fear and to know the basic styles we would work hard in teaching students said Belawadi.

Among the 50 plus students selected for this year workshop Meghana has come from California to study in the acting workshop.
