Actress Simran has denied reports that she had expressed her desire to work as an assistant director to Manirathinam for his forthcoming movie ‘Ashokavanam’ starring Vikram and Aishwarya Rai.

The movie which is shot in the forests of Challakudy, has musical score by A R Rahman. When queried by a newspaper, Simran, said, “I am a great fan of Mani Rathnam. I was a part of ‘Kannathil Muthamittail’, directed by Mani Rathnam. It went on to win several awards and accolades. It was just a courtesy call and nothing more than that”, she added.

Interestingly Simran, who is on a comeback mode, is acting in a slew of films including ‘Seval’ alongside Bharath, ‘TN 07 AL 4777’ with Pasupathy and ‘Aindham Padai’ with Sundar C.
