Sameera Reddy has promised a lot with her maiden Tamil film. Playing the female lead alongside Suriya in Varanam Ayiram, she hogged the limelight with her subtle performance.

Buzz is that she has been urged to play Ajith's heroine in a film to be produced by Sivaji Films. Saran is most likely to be the project's director.

Sources close to the director said, Samira Reddy would play the heroine in all probability. She impressed everyone with her excellent performance in 'Varanam Aayiram'. Titled 'Asal', the Ajith starrer is expected to go to the floors very soon'.

Saran and Ajith are considered a safe bet in the industry and the two had delivered hits in 'Kadhal Mannan', 'Attagasam' and 'Amarkalam' earlier. With Aegan not doing up to the expectations, Ajith is keen and determined to make 'Asal' count.
