It has been the veteran director Bharathirajaa's long cherished dream to come out with a movie titled 'Kuttra Parambarai', which is about a race that fought for survival before Indian independence.

Several efforts were made by the director to kick start his dream project on many occasions before, but financial difficulties forced him to postpone the project every time. Speaking about the project, Bharathirajaa had said several times that it is as close as 'Marudhanayagam' is for actor Kamal Haasan.

Following the release of 'Bommalattam', things seem rosy for Bharathirajaa. The producer of the movie and a long-time friend of the director, Paul Pandian has now come forward to produce the movie. Actor – director Cheran has been roped in to play the hero in this mega project.

Meanwhile, an emotional Bharathirajaa has challenged a section of politicians to prove their charges that some Kollywood filmmakers were getting money from the LTTE.

'Responsible leaders will never make baseless allegations,' he says.
