It’s time again for the elections at the Nadigar Sangam, and there’s promise of it being as eventful as the national elections that just concluded. With Sarath Kumar being at the helm of affairs for two terms, each lasting three years, it is time now for the members to decide if the actor deserves another term.

If the decision of the members is one issue, another thing to wait and watch is if Sarath himself is interested in contesting elections for the third time. Things are different for the actor now, who has turned politician, and has a party to tend to, apart from his film commitments. His party’s performance in the elections being nothing to boast about, the actor may well want to hang his boots in the Sangam. His film career too, hasn’t had an upswing in sometime, and the actor could realty do with a hit.

Many members of the Sangam feels strongly that Sarath, a dynamic leader that he has been, should be back as president, as he has initiated and supported the call for a new building for the Sangam.

All this and more will be decided at the General Body Meeting, to be held tomorrow at the Association premises.
