‘Padithurai’ is the film in which Arya is turning producer. In fact the actor has taken up this project by pinning his hopes over the film’s storyline. We hear that Padithurai’s shoot is almost over and is in the last part of the schedule.

Arya has given preference to freshers in this project which is produced under his home banner “The Show People”. ‘Padithurai’ is directed by Bala’s associate Suha. The film has Abishek and Chandini in the lead while Azhagam Perumal is doing an important character with negative shade. The highlight of this film is that it has got 30 fresh faces that include an 80 year old granny, who has not seen cinema for the past 40 years.

‘Padithurai’ will have the slang of Thirunalveli playing a vital part and has Illayaraja’s music for the lines of Nanjil Nadan and S. Ramakrishnan. ‘Padithurai’ is made based on the novel ‘Ettu Thikkum Madha Yaanai’ written by Nanjil Nadan.
