The character Santhanu Bhagyaraj is playing in ‘Aayiram Vilakku’ is a straight contrast to the soft romantic hero roles he did in his first two films- ‘Sakkarakatti’ and ‘Siddu Plus Two First Attempt’.

The son of Bhagyaraj is playing a Madurai-based don in the film directed by Hosimin of ‘February 14’ fame. “Even I was not ready to believe when the director narrated me the story. But I was convinced later and his (Hosimin) judgment is proving right on the sets of the film.”

Explaining further, Santhanu says, “I am happy with the outcome. Stunts scenes won’t be unbelievable. One thing is sure- no one would laugh when I bash up baddies. At the same time, the screenplay will be very interesting.”

Heaping laurels on the heroine of the movie Sana Khan, he says, “She is a very good dancer. An experienced person in modeling too.” According to sources, Sathyaraj plays an ageing gangster in this film, who meets an ordinary coolie (Santhanu). He trains him to be the next big gang lord to take revenge on his enemies.

Santhanu, for the first time, is playing a typical mass action hero. He will dance to the tunes of Srikanth Deva. Suman is the villain of ‘Aayiram Vilakku’.
