Meera Kathiravan who made a mark with his first film ‘Aval Peyar Thamizharasi’ has stared work for his next venture. Meera’s first film was a kind of off beat film which had the dying folk art ‘thol paavai’ as its backdrop. The film is running successfully well appreciated.

Though his first film bordered the genre of parallel cinema, Meera Kathiravan is planning a full length comedy as his next. It will be produced by an NRI. Although Meera has not finalized the cast and crew for the film he is testing the screenplay by shooting some scenes with amateur artistes from the Koothupattarai drama troupe.

Once everything is fine tuned and ready Meera will launch the film with known frontline commercial stars.
