‘Vilai’ is a forthcoming film which will break the rules. The film is directed by Kamaraj, who directed ‘Perusu' before. ‘Perusu’ despite being a small film then made many heads turn towards it because of the gripping story which dealt with city rowdyism.

Now director Kamaraj has taken the subject of prostitution and said a story as grippingly as his first film. He boasts about the quality of the film saying in spite of dealing a subject like prostitution the film doesn’t have a single shot which may look vulgar.

The film stars Bharani who played a trusted friend to Sasikumar in ‘Naadodigal’ play male lead. Udhayathara, Reethu, Madhumitha and Fathima play the leading female characters. Saravanan and Banuchander also play important roles.

D. Imman scores the music and Snehan has written five songs. The music has all the variety from western to classical to kuthu says the director. Nithyasree, Pushpavanam Kupusami, Benny Dayal, Sai Charan and Madhimitha have given the voices for the songs. One song in the film is so special that it doesn’t have any instrumentation except the female vocal.

The audio launch of ‘Vilai’ is happening on May 23.
