With everyone connected to ‘Raavanan’ singing paeans on master filmmaker Mani Ratnam on a daily basis, Abhishek Bachchan, who has played the title role in the film’s Hindi version ‘Raavan’, has said it’s Mani who knows the knack to bring out the best from every actor.

“Working with him has always been a delight as well as a challenging experience. I felt it once again while doing ‘Raavan’. He is one of the very few filmmakers in the country whose knowledge on cinema is very immense,” the Junior Bachchan says.

Heaping more laurels on ‘Mani sir’, he says, “If any other director would have approached me with a script like ‘Raavan’ I would have no doubt said no because I know that I am not capable to do a character like Beera.”

“But I accepted to be part of ‘Raavan’ when I was asked to do the role just because of one reason- Mani. He always shows great confidence in my talent which is unbelievable. Even I don’t have such confidence on me,” Abhishek adds.
