Kushboo on Monday spent perhaps some of the best moments of the life, when she played with children during the World Breast Feeding Week Celebrations at the Government Royapettah Hospital in Chennai.
What caught the attention of doctors and other participants of the programme was a speech by the actress-politician, in which she revealed some vital statistics on breast feeding and stressed its importance.
ÂWhen compared to the United States, breast feeding rate is very low in India. Only 20 per cent of mothers feed infants with their milk till six months from the date of birth. Whereas the percentage is 30 per cent in America, she said.
Urging that every mother should come forward to breast feed their children, Kushboo said only then their sons and daughters could grow energetic and intelligent. ÂEven working women should follow this, she said.
