Ajith's 50th film launched

And for all Ajith fans the party has begun. Thala has officially begun working on his next film 'Mangaatha' which will be a Venkat Prabhu Film produced by Dhayanidhi Alagiri of Cloud Nine Movies. 'Mangaatha' is also Ajith's 50th film. This is Ajith's 19th year in film industry. He did his first film ‘Prema Pusthaka’ in 1992.

The film was officially launched on Tuesday, August 2. The pooja happened at the AVM Rajeswari theatre floor and the shooting started with filming of promotional trailer shots. An ecstatic Venkat Prabhu said the trailer will be soon out in theatres.

This is an important film for Ajith as there have been many controversies floated about his film after ‘Aasal’. It is going to be high stake multi starrer as Telugu super star Nagarjuna is also playing an important character in the film. There is also Premji Amaran and debutantes Mahad doing conspicuous roles.

Venkat Prabhu said the heroines of the film is not yet finalised. Earlier there were news of Neetu Chandra signed for the heroine. Yuvan Shankar Raja scores the music and Shakthi Saravanan handles the camera work.

The full fledged shooting schedule will start by the end of August and will go on. Around 80 percent of the film will be shot in foreign locales. The film will be ready for release in summer 2011.
