Producers of 'Va- Quarter Cutting', Dhayanidhi Alagiri's Cloud Nine Movies and Y Not Studios, have taken a decision to remove the tagline 'Quarter Cutting' from all the promos and trailers of the film.

According to them, the decision has been made since the movie has obtained the Censor certification only as 'Va' and not with the tagline.

Also, it may be recalled that the Tamil Nadu government has recently issued a clarification on tax exemption given to films. "At least, the proper noun of the title should be in Tamil," said a release from the Chief Minister's office.

"A committee comprising Commercial Taxes Secretary, Tamil Development Secretary and Tamil Development Director took decisions on giving exemption to films. In the event of the release of Tamil films whose titles had not been approved for tax exemption, the producers have to pay the tax in full," the release added.

Directed by Pushkar-Gayathri of 'Oram Po' fame, the film which has Siva, SPB Charan and Lekha Washington in lead roles, is about a youngster's search for liquor on a dry day.
