Director Ameer’s ‘Raam’ a film that deals with the relationship between a young man and his mother. The film grossed around one million rupees at the box office and was screened at the Cyprus International Film Festival in 2006, where it won the best actor award for Jeeva and Yuvan Shankar Raja.

Now ‘Raam’ will be screened specially for the audience in France and Luxumburg. For many Europeans who are familiar only with Bollywood productions, ‘Raam’ will be a surprise pack. This is the first time that there will be subtitles in proper French accompanying a film, say insiders. Another high pointer would be that the film will be screened for the French audience and not Tamil minorities in France.

This is definitely a first of its kind effort by a Tamil movie in the European soil and we hope this will pave way for many such good films from Tamil Nadu to find their way to theatres in Europe!

Great going Ameer we hope you fetch a couple of French laurels for ‘Raam’ yet again!
