Tamil directors Norway bound

A handful of directors and technicians from the Tamil Film industry will head to Oslo, Norway tonight as special guests to take part in the Norway Tamil Film Awards and Best Tamilian Award to be held in Norway from April 20th to April 25th. The programs to be held during the grand event include screening of 17 films and 10 short films. These films that are screened will also compete for the best Tamilian Award. Apart from film screenings there will also be cultural events through out the conduct of the event.

A few directors of Tamil Nadu have got the privilege to be special guests during the event. They are actor-director Cheran, director Vetrimaran of ‘Aadukalam’ fame, ‘Madarasapattinam’ director A. S. Vijay, director Radhamohan of ‘Mozhi’ and ‘Payanam’, ‘Mynah’ film’s director Prabhu Solomon, director Naseer as well as actor Harish amongst others.

This is the first of its kind international and prestigious event that our directors are attending. The directors apart from being special guests will also participate in constructive debates on filming during the events. Topics including the art of film making and photography sessions will be handled by experts in the respective fields. The event will also see courses on film making, photography, the techniques involved in film making and there will be training stalls in filming and photography.
