Office-bearers of South Indian Film Artistes Association, including president R Sarath Kumar, called on Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam president Vijayakanth in Chennai on Thursday.

Emerging out of the meeting that took place at the DMDK headquarters in Koyambedu, Sarath said, “It is a courtesy call. Because he is the Opposition Leader in the Assembly and a former president of the Nadigar Sangam.”

He added: “We congratulated him for his party’s good show in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. We also discussed film matters as we are from the same industry. There is no place for politics in Nadigar Sangam.”

Sarath Kumar was accompanied by Vijayakumar, Nalini, Fathima Babu and Pasi Sathya among others. It is to be noted that lot of changes are taking place in Kollywood ever since the AIADMK assumed power recently.
