Film on Sarvagna poet

A film on poet cum philosopher ‘Sarvagna’ of 16th century is the subject for director Shivakumar. Four and half decades ago Dr Rajakumar played the lead role in ‘Sarvagna Murthy’ and now a budding actor trained in a film institute Santosh will be in the title role says Shivakumar.

Shivakumar worked in the camp of Hindi cinema director BR Ishara as associate and shifted his base to Bangalore, he directed ‘Number Aidhu Yakka’ and ‘Bisiraktha’ Kannada films. After a long gap he is taking up a historical film ‘Sarvagna Mathomme Huttibaa’.

The three-liners of ‘Sarvagna’ are most famous even today. Out of 3000 plus ‘three-liners’ of Sarvagna around 300 are part of this film. The mentor to Sarvagna role is played by veteran actor Srinivasamurthy. Thara, Pavitra Lokesh are also in the cast.

In Talkad, Hairani, Alamaru, Maasuru, Kedar, badarinath, Haridwar, Kashi, Himalaya, Sringeri, Gokarna, Kalasa, Srishaila, Mahanandhi are the locations this multi crore film will be shot by Mathrubhumi creations. DR BS Swamy is the dialogue writer. Raj Bhasker has completed the song recording. Muthuraj is the cameraman.
