Vishal has denied reports that appeared in a section of the media that his forthcoming film has been named 'Prabhakaran', just because of the immense value the title holds. "It is not a publicity gimmick," says Vishal.

"Tamilians are smart and they could not be deceived by such tactics. We named the film so because it's the name of the protagonist. Moreover, it is only a working title. It may be changed," says the actor.

Directed by Prabhu Deva, 'Prabhakaran', an action-adventure, has Sameera Reddy opposite Vishal. Produced by Vishal’s home banner GK Film Corporation, it is a remake of Telugu blockbuster hit 'Souryam'.

"The film is shaping up in an interesting way," says Vishal, who badly needs a commercial hit. Meanwhile, the actor is upbeat about the response his performance in Bala’s 'Avan Ivan' has evoked. "All credits go to Bala sir," he says.
